Over the past 5 years I have created numerous complex infographics explaining business strategies and future visions to top level managers and executives at Rio Tinto. Since all the work is commercially sensitive, I am not allowed to show them but I can offer an example without context. This demonstrates my illustrative abilities and expertise in communicating ideas through detailed infographics. Final files were set up for animation purposes for an internal audience.

The process in developing these infographics is described below.

Initial call

Initial discovery meeting with the client to discuss the requirements of the project.

Concept

Analysis and interpretation of client-supplied materials and sketching out a concept.

Revisions

Usually two iterations of the sketch including any major layout changes or icon additions.

Illustration

Once sketch is approved, it’s illustrated using industry-standard vector software such as Adobe Illustrator.

Revisions & final artwork

Two minor changes allowed before supplying final artwork.

Isometric environment

The image below is a textured isometric environment designed and sketched out in Procreate using reference images and then built in Adobe Illustrator. Flat style isometric icons were extracted from a suite of infographics created for a confidential project at Rio Tinto and arranged into an example layout.
